Agape Love:
The fatherly love of God for humans, as well as the human reciprocal love for God.
Agape love is love at the highest level. It's so much more than we could ever imagine.
Agape love is unconcerned with the self and concerned with the greatest good of another.
Agape isn’t born just out of emotions, feelings, familiarity, or attraction, but from the will and as a choice.
Agape requires faithfulness, commitment, and sacrifice without expecting anything in return.
This is the type of love the Bible speaks about when the Word speaks of the love of God.
Romans 5:8 NKJV
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners,
Christ died for us.
Agape love is always shown by what it does.
God’s love is displayed most clearly at the cross.
