Peh Bet - Year of Jubilee 5782 - Fasting, Bible Reading & Prayer

Updated: Feb 8, 2022

Joel 2

Amplified Bible

12 “Even now,” says the Lord, “Turn and come to Me with all your heart [in genuine repentance], With fasting and weeping and mourning [until every barrier is removed and the broken fellowship is restored];

What Is Prayer?

“Love God and serve Him with all your heart.” —Deuteronomy 11:13.

What is a service that is performed within the heart?

This could only be speaking of prayer. —Talmud Taanit 2a. Prayer means that when your heart bursts with pain, pour it out to Him. When it yearns, speak to Him about your yearnings. When your heart is broken, ask Him to mend it. When your heart feels empty, ask Him to fill it. Wherever your heart is at, whatever it is being, connect that to His Being. Make your heart His sanctuary, the place where you find Him.

2 “Say to all the congregation of the children of Israel, ‘You shall be holy, for I the Lord your God am holy.

Leviticus 25:11 Amplified Bible

11

That fiftieth year shall be a Jubilee for you; you shall not sow [seed], nor reap what reseeds itself, nor gather the grapes of the uncultivated vines.

Isaiah 61 New International Version

The Year of the Lord’s Favor

1 The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners,[a] 2

to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, 3

and provide for those who grieve in Zion— to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.

Leviticus 25 Amplified Bible

13

‘In this Year of Jubilee each of you shall return to his own [ancestral] property.

Amos 9 Good News Translation

14

I will bring my people back to their land. They will rebuild their ruined cities and live there; they will plant vineyards and drink the wine; they will plant gardens and eat what they grow. 15

I will plant my people on the land I gave them, and they will not be pulled up again.” The Lord your God has spoken.

Isaiah 61 New International Version

5

Strangers will shepherd your flocks; foreigners will work your fields and vineyards. 6

And you will be called priests of the Lord, you will be named ministers of our God. You will feed on the wealth of nations, and in their riches you will boast. 7

Instead of your shame you will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace you will rejoice in your inheritance. And so you will inherit a double portion in your land, and everlasting joy will be yours.

Leviticus 25 Amplified Bible

20

And if you say, “What are we going to eat in the seventh year if we do not sow [seed] or gather in our crops?”

21

then [this is My answer:] I will order My [special] blessing for you in the sixth year, so that it will produce [sufficient] crops for three years.

22

When you are sowing the eighth year, you can still eat old things from the crops, eating the old until the ninth year when its crop comes in

Leviticus 25 Amplified Bible

55

For the children of Israel are My servants; My servants, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt. I am the Lord your God.

Job 42 Amplified Bible

God Restores Job’s Fortunes 10

The Lord restored the fortunes of Job when he prayed for his friends, and the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.

11 Then all his brothers and sisters and all who had known him before came to him, and they ate bread with him in his house; and they consoled him and comforted him over all the [distressing] adversities that the Lord had brought on him. And each one gave him a piece of money, and each a ring of gold.

12 And the Lord blessed the latter days of Job more than his beginning; for he had 14,000 sheep, 6,000 camels, 1,000 yoke of oxen, and 1,000 female donkeys.

13 He had seven sons and three daughters.

14 And he called the name of the first [daughter] Jemimah, and the name of the second Keziah, and the name of the third Keren-happuch.

15 In all the land there were found no women so fair as the daughters of Job; and their father gave them an inheritance among their brothers.

16 After this, Job lived 140 years, and saw his sons and his grandsons, four generations.

17 So Job died, an old man and full of days.
