PRESS ON!

Philippians 3 AMP

[10]

[For my determined purpose is] that I may know Him [that I may progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him, perceiving and recognizing and understanding the wonders of His Person more strongly and more clearly], and that I may in that same way come to know the power outflowing from His resurrection [which it exerts over believers], and that I may so share His sufferings as to be continually transformed [in spirit into His likeness even] to His death, [in the hope]

[11]

That if possible I may attain to the [spiritual and moral] resurrection [that lifts me] out from among the dead [even while in the body].

[12]Not that I have now attained [this ideal], or have already been made perfect, but I press on to lay hold of (grasp) and make my own, that for which Christ Jesus (the Messiah) has laid hold of me and made me His own.

[13]

I do not consider, brethren, that I have captured and made it my own [yet]; but one thing I do [it is my one aspiration]: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead,

[14]

I press on toward the goal to win the [supreme and heavenly] prize to which God in Christ Jesus is calling us upward.

FOCUS on GOD

✩ Focus on your calling and run with the power of Christ Jesus inside you.

★ You are mighty through Christ Jesus.

✩ Everything you do MUST be dedicated to God In Heaven.

LEAVE THE UNBELIEVERS!

2 Corinthians 6 AMP

[14]

Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers [do not make mismated alliances with them or come under a different yoke with them, inconsistent with your faith]. For what partnership have right living and right standing with God with iniquity and lawlessness?

Or how can light have fellowship with darkness?

[15]

What harmony can there be between Christ and Belial [the devil]? Or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever?

[16]

What agreement [can there be between] a temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God; even as God said, I will dwell in and with and among them and will walk in and with and among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.

[Exod. 25:8; 29:45; Lev. 26:12; Jer. 31:1; Ezek. 37:27.]

[17]

So, come out from among [unbelievers], and separate (sever) yourselves from them, says the Lord, and touch not [any] unclean thing; then I will receive you kindly and treat you with favor, [Isa. 52:11.]

[18]

And I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.

[Isa. 43:6; Hos. 1:10.]

Why do you still have unbelieving company?

✩ Vele bazokuzonda abakholwa kuKrestu so leave now.

★ King Jesus is our perfect example

Hebrews 12 AMP

[1]

THEREFORE THEN, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses [who have borne testimony to the Truth], let us strip off and throw aside every encumbrance (unnecessary weight) and that sin which so readily (deftly and cleverly) clings to and entangles us, and let us run with patient endurance and steady and active persistence the appointed course of the race that is set before us,

[2]

Looking away [from all that will distract] to Jesus, Who is the Leader and the Source of our faith [giving the first incentive for our belief] and is also its Finisher [bringing it to maturity and perfection]. He, for the joy [of obtaining the prize] that was set before Him, endured the cross, despising and ignoring the shame, and is now seated at the right hand of the throne of God.

[Ps. 110:1.]

[3]

Just think of Him Who endured from sinners such grievous opposition and bitter hostility against Himself [reckon up and consider it all in comparison with your trials], so that you may not grow weary or exhausted, losing heart and relaxing and fainting in your minds.

[4]

You have not yet struggled and fought agonizingly against sin, nor have you yet resisted and withstood to the point of pouring out your [own] blood.

PRESS ON TO YOUR GOAL WITH INTENTIONAL & UNWAVERING FOCUS!

1 Corinthians 9 AMP

[24]

Do you not know that in a race all the runners compete, but [only] one receives the prize?

So run [your race] that you may lay hold [of the prize] and make it yours.

[25]

Now every athlete who goes into training conducts himself temperately and restricts himself in all things. They do it to win a wreath that will soon wither, but we [do it to receive a crown of eternal blessedness] that cannot wither.

[26]

Therefore I do not run uncertainly (without definite aim). I do not box like one beating the air and striking without an adversary.

[27]

But [like a boxer] I buffet my body [handle it roughly, discipline it by hardships] and subdue it, for fear that after proclaiming to others the Gospel and things pertaining to it, I myself should become unfit [not stand the test, be unapproved and rejected as a counterfeit].

✩ Run your own race of life for Christ and with Christ alone.

★ It's not easy but it's well worth every effort you make.
